If you have a link to AllBreed for your horse(s) that does speed things up a bit. You can copy and paste the links to the pedigrees into your email for each horse.

If your horse/foal is a family member or related to a known or suspected CA Carrier ( N/CA),or an affected individual ( CA/CA) please specify.

UC Davis forms to use for credit card payments, submission forms and if necessary an Import Form are available for downloading at the VGL website:

The US IMPORT form is required for all packages containing hair samples arriving from outside the United States of America. One IMPORT FORM is valid per package and covers all sample contents. It must be attached to the outside of the package for easy access by US Customs. Request a current IMPORT FORM if not available on site.

They are still high priced on the SCID @$140 per horse but their CA testing is interesting:


$50 per horse ( just the same as VGL at UC Davis)
$42.50 each for 2 to 7 horses
$35.00 each for 8 horses or more.

The test can be done on hair roots or blood. Please send in the material and a sample submission form, which you can print out from our website. ("Genetic properties') If you cannot print them please let us know and we will send some sample submission forms by post. You do not need an import permit within the European Union.
